Equipment supplier Raute’s second quarter sales amounted to 24.4 million euros, which is clearly lower compared to last year’s 37.0 million euros. The decline in turnover resulted in a 1 million euro loss.

Partly due to delayed invoicing caused by the Corona pandemic, the order book remained on a good level. Alarming for Raute is that the order intake during Q2 was a modest 13 million euros, only half of last year’s 26 million during the same period.

“In Q2, many of our customers put off their plans and orders, based on the uncertainty of their market situations,” Raute’s CEO Tapani Kiiski was quoted as saying in a press release.
